Non-videos in database

I was looking at some of those links to "videos" that Farlo supplied in his current thread in the drop box (listing videos that have his contest listed in their profile, without actually being in the contest). And I was wondering why videos with no anime or song listed can even be entered into the database. Couldn't some excess entries be circumvented by preventing videos with nothing in either of those fields from being accepted? I don't suppose it's really any problem (as they take up no space, and won't be coming up in many video searches), but they're still non-videos on a site dedicated to cataloguing videos, specifically those involving anime and music.

Although, of the five videos he linked to, only this one had no anime or song listed. I just thought it was odd.

The video is "created" in the database after stage 1... the music and anime isnt added until stage 2... if someone doesnt add any of either you have an entry like this.

Could that be changed so that the video doesn't get "created" till after step 2, then? That'd eliminate the problem.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Though it's rare that I've seen a video with no anime or song listed, it obviously does exist.

Well the first problem is that the info you enter has to be stored somewhere when you are going from page to page. The most convenient place is the database.

I dunno.. it sounds difficult and unwieldy to fix.

how about a scriptum removing that Movies fromt he Database? I mean they have all definite characteristics... nad it would be enought to run that routine once a week.
