I love that movie, seen three nice amvs to it so far.

Um, I dunno, is there a particular theme or angle you're looking for? there's "Somewhere I belong" but a bit over used..

mebbe something from the "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" Soundtrack.
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.

Wha?

I think any TLU vid belongs happily here. If you wanna make one, go ahead.

It's a debate. I understand it was made either in Japan or Korea, specifically for American audiences, though I imagine it's been dubbed in other languages. It was made in 1981, based off a book by Peter S. Beagle. It's only recently arrived on DVD.

It's certainly looks like an anime style. It's a lovely flick, not a child's movie. Go see it.

It was a joint US-Japanese production- Bass handling the US side (story, music, dialog) and the Japanese group handling the animation. The anime style of characters and animation is so strong in this movie that many people (myself included) classify it as an anime movie even though it was primarily a US production

It has been shown at many anime cons as anime.

The Last Unicorn was animated by the folks who did Nausicaa:Valley of the Wind. Later, some of the people joinded together and made Ghibli Studio, whom we all know and love today.

so yeah, it's usually cinsidered anime, even if it was written and dubbed in the US, the actually ANIME (ie the animation) was done in japan.

enya, doom3 video game, where's he going?

Post by MikaelJuha » Tue Sep 21, 2004 3:11 am

i saw that movie when i was like 5, its old but i did like it, hmm some old style genres like the last unicorn need old school style like music, hmm Enya would work really well with that movie.

Hmm a bit off topic, but i did a Doom3 music vid with Homework (daftpunk) using the Revolution 909 song, and since the doom genre traces back a long ways, an old school song like that worked really well and the video game music video community really loved it

most people think you can't do a video game music vid unless its final fantasy, but yeah there is also full motion vids in games like doom3, and man you need a more powerful gaming machine than the ps2 to play them lol, the specs on doom3 are: 64 mb vid card, 384 mb RAM, 1.5 ghz processor (that's uber expensive lol), 2.2 gigs of hard drive space, windows xp, etc. plus the specialized vid card for capturing pc output images that is hooked to the monitor.

specs for final fantasy: ps2 and controller lol

you need more oomph to bring out the full motion vids with doom3, and dang do they look more prettier than final fantasy, although few and far between will ever play doom3 and read this forum and truely understand what i'm talking about, but that's my story.

Here's a quick tip or reminder: old school videos go well with old school music

but enya with the last unicorn go hand in hand; both gentle and old school genres if you know what i mean
My strength is not that of the mountains, nor is as vast as the plains, nor does each wave crash upon the shore and thunder like lightning into my viens...but that which i can muster, and that which i will, i will bring myself foward into this world like no man has done before...
