Addiction Music Videos... a 1 man show!Chaos Angel wrote:I think most "studios" are just one person, MAYBE two.
Also, I made up mine back when just because I figured that's "what was done".
I only keep it now because I like the name.
Bad-Raptor Productions, 2 amv "Studios" come together... Studios are overrated anyways... just make amvs, and if people like em, yay, if not then oh well...

Im not really desperate. I have been making AMV's now for about 4 years, but have never entered them into any sort of contest or anything just due to the fact that I do everything solo, and it seems that everyone who gets somewhat decent reconigtion is in a studio...Think I will make my own then...thanks for the advice.

Yeah, most people who win award, ARE in studios, but you will find that most people who win things are in 1 man studios.spikethecowboy wrote:Im not really desperate. (Baka in ATL too....)
heh I just made up my studio name form an old fansite I used to run a long time ago, Anime Universe Network. still a one man studio too. And infact, I've never seen anyone get popular from a studio name, but then I havn;t been on the scene too long either. However, when I first came in, It was individuals I started to recognize first before studio names. AD was one, then Flux, koop, then Corran and Chang, ... doki ... and others just added to them from there. I recognized them from the quality of their work, not because I see their studio names at cons or anything. in fact I can;t even tell you half of those guys studio names. I personally don't think its all that important. You'll get recognized either way for your skill, if you make good videos.

I think you missed the whole point of the "get a life" part.Crzy_Tetsuo wrote:Just cause your in a studio with people you don't know IRL doesn't mean you don't have a life. Most of the people on the org who are serious about amv's do have seperate lives. Very active seperate lives in fact. Most of us are attending school, have g/f's (or are searching), and have jobs, as well as other hobbies like sports, etc. But yes, you were right about one thing, its no fun being in a studio with people you don't know. If you don't know someone very well, then its weird when you try to send betas, etc. You don't get the real criticism you need.
