Hah hah hah. Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a team player. At all. I intend to do a self-animated video, no matter how long it takes. I have the drawing and editing skills to rise to the challenge, even though I hate drawing anime. I'm more of a traditionalist, or hybrid style at most. Check it out.

I'm imagining I want to do a supremely depressing video using Rob Dougan's "Born Yesterday." I have such a perfect vision of what I want for it. I don't care if it takes me 2 years. I'm doing it. And if you didn't notice by now, I do have a pretty trumped-up attitude. [/url]

I am going to. theres a video idea that almsot relies on complete self animation that I have on the backburner for when I actually feel confident enough in my skills to pull it off well.

Whattayouknow....

I've just started an animation course at my university, and one of the projects is to create an animated "soundscape" of 2-3 minutes in length. There is to be sound, and animation, and the two are to be tied together.

Sounds an awful lot like an original animated music video to me....

I'm thinking of doing a slow, pretty piece on O Hannami built around the fall of a cherry blossem and the earth as viewed through "Sakura-vision" as it is swept along by gravity and the wind. That should be something different.
may seeds of dreams fall from my hands -
and by yours be pressed into the ground.

But you're not actually animating anything that way - I think you misunderstood the question. What we meant is basically what would you do if you could make your own animation for a music video?, not what existing anime you would use to make your first AMV.

and, yea, Omni's avatars have always been teh pwn
I think he was refering to the other guy saying immortal wouldnt really fit with anything.

And :P I dissagree btw, while yes it would be nice to make your own anime, it's not nessicary... I can make any song fit with most any anime it's not hard.

I can make shinji hate asuka
I can make ayato be a jerkoff (although thats not too far from.. nevermind)
I can make goku be a lesbian (now that one might take some work)

It's all in how much work you wanna put in something, no animating nessicary, maybe a few clever scenes with mspaint, but thats all.
"hey... no"
