GitS2 Featurette Update (2004-09-04 12:06:34)
We've been informed that the opportunity to screen the GitS2 featurette isn't limited to only NYC area anime clubs. Anime clubs outside of the New York area interested in screening the featurette should contact Olivier Mouroux at omouroux@dreamworks.com. "We want to make sure all anime clubs nationwide interested get a chance to screen the "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence" featurette," commented Mouroux.

Cosidering that I just started a new anime club at my school (the previous one having fizzled out sometime in my freshman or sophomore year), and that some of the members (well, the people I expect to become members, we haven't had a meeting yet) are Ghost in the Shell fans, this should be an item of interest... I wonder if they'd let a high school club screen it and would there be fees involved?

Oh, wait, it's a featurette, not the feature film. I see. Well, it might still be an item of interest. And as it's a featurette, not the whole film, that makes it less likely that there would be fees... I guess I'll tell the guys on Monday. Or should I just email this Mouroux now? Hmmm...

This movie is basically about what happens when sex bots go crazy. it sounds stupid as hell, but thats what the movies about.

theres an article in the new issue of Newtype USA on Innocence. its only a couple pages but would give someone who hasnt seen the first one an idea of whats going on.

batou was sent to investigate a report of robots killing their owners, there are hyper realistic robots created for pleasure that are going haywire and killing people for no reason at all. tha major is dead, so batou has to investigate it. these robots are like mini Motokos in a way. there, is THAT clear enough for you?
