then theirs the script, concept art, storyboards, voice and enviromental audio. creating an anime is generaly alot of hard work and people involved in it have varying skills. not all of them can write, voice act, draw and direct. then thier are people who mix the sound and, well creating anime is a very complex and time consuming affair (not to mention expensive) .

Indeed, another good point.
Well, as Hoshi no Koe indicates, it is possible alone, but still... this is a very short movie, not a whole series.

Manga, on the other hand... (although it's just as time-consuming, it's generally a one-person affair, although there are often inkers, editors and other staff that are used professionally to make it more efficient).

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I recommend you see the Special Features in "Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi" (Spirited Away) and "Memories" about the production process.
Not easy by anyone's standards.

Think they were trying to show it's just the opposite of that...it looks easy enough.

Heh. I wonder if you'd say that if they plugged man-hours statistics into each step of that chartBlackwatch wrote:COOL. i may have to try out some of my own anime ideas. it looks easy enough.

This is the following page, I thought the first enough to show how difficult the whole process actually is. Remember each section is a team of people that does nothing but that, they might mix it up a bit but its mostly there only job, or at least they are only hired for a particular roll for any one project. This is how companies get anime done, with massive financial backing.

Hmm, I see the parrallel.Blackwatch wrote:as i said looks easy enough. my big bro works as a video game tester/designer he knows a lot about this processes he helped me make the 10 seconds of toy story.
My father is a professional classical guitar player. He knows a lot about the recording process. He helped me learn to play a melody to the chorus of the Soviet National Anthem.
From this follows that I can record a full-length progressive trance album. No, I don't know much about playing music. I don't have the equipment, software, and I don't want to estimate how much time is involved. I don't have money to get studio time or hire a professional engineer/producer. But hey, I've read a lot about the music industry - I'm sure I can do progressive trance!
because it sounds easy enough.

Don't be helpful. Be available.
And I'm still available if someone decides to show some progress in their creative output

Well, the idea of this reminds me of both .hack and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi.
I don't know if this will be an easy process no matter HOW good you are at drawing. If you DID do it by the time you got done there is a 95% chance that you will hate, and I mean HATE drawing and will never want to do another drawing again in your life.
But if it means that much to you, then good luck and have fun!
