Sakura-Con 2005 AMV Dinner

Post by Seijin_Dinger » Wed Sep 08, 2004 9:14 pm

After the AMV Contest there will be a gathering for all who wish to attend
the plan is to go to a resturant to eat dinner together

Last year I tried organizing this and ended up missing out because of other obligations. This year I dont intend to miss it.

The Plan is to meet in the Main Lobby by the Fireplace between 30 and 45 minutes after the contest and go to a resturant.
The goal is a nice social event where we dont have any burdens (Other than our bills) and is definately open to everyone.

Currently I have the poll of local resturants running on the Sakura-Con Message Board and if you want you can vote here:

This sounds nice, but I don't know where that darn fireplace is. ^~^;

And I have no clue what places are in the area that are worth going to.

that fire place is in the main lobby near where you check into the hotel, right next to the bar

Place to go eat - suggestion

Post by Geirr » Mon Dec 27, 2004 1:30 pm

I've been up and down along the main hotel drag (Pacific Highway?) a couple of times on other biz, and I discovered a GREAT Chinese place, a little over the crest of the first hill as you leave the hotel heading NORTH, on the left-hand side. I'll be up there again in a few weeks, and I can post the name & address when I confirm it.

I's just a little too far for walking, but maybe we can carpool?

Also, last year a cute Teriyaki place opened up in one of the nearby hotels. That place was pretty good, too.

Ok I do have 1 request for those of age who attend

since there is a chance of minors attending and even though I can not enforce it, I am asking that no one order any alcohol

Well with the final runtime of the contest how does everyone feel about meeting at 7 instead of 8
