AMV Depression
have you ever worked on an AMV and the more you do the more depressed it makes you?
I am experiencing this with my current project

The moment I realized that was happening to me with a recent attempt of mine, I stopped.
Well, that is, I was just really obsessed with an idea, and the more I went in, the more I realized I can't possibly pull it off right. So, it only made the idea more obsessive and the aggravation with its' impossibility more acute.
So, for me, it's better to stop and take a break. Individually though... it varies, really

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

To clarify, by 'take a break' I mean not from making that AMV, but I mean dropping the AMV and taking a break from the whole video-editing 'mode' entirely

Re: AMV Depression
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the third song you've tried matching with GOTF?seijin_dinger wrote:have you ever worked on an AMV and the more you do the more depressed it makes you?

Anyway to answer the question, yes I have. It's a GOTF project even. Although I'm getting more depressed because I don't like After Effects and need to use it rather than because of the anime itself.

The only thing that is depressing me atm is the fact i had to format my entire hdd all the anime i had, gone, all the amv's i had, gone, my work on the time bomb video, gone.
So what can ya do, but stand up, walk tall and steal a catch phrase from a movie... but yeah so anywho, amvs dont make me sad but FF-X game did the ending anywho...

its a silly lame cycle for me i guess
when i try to go all out for several hours on end and can't seem to reach my true expectations of myself with the amv...i get depressed, then angry, then i cry, then i ask for my sister for a tissue, then when i think i'm getting no where at all (using windows movie maker primarily) i save the project as a movie file, and never watch it the final project, and just leave my pc. A few hours later, and a few drinks of Iceberg vodka with my friends and some time away from my pc, i see my sister toini looking and watching the amv i spent all that time on at my pc, of which i've never truelly seen the final version of, and she's like, "wow! that was pretty cool! I hope you make more!" and my face is now all flustered and my nerves are all wracked with stricken pain from all the stupid drinking, and you know what.......a smile draws to my face! and then i edit the amv some more, and then i get depressed then it just repeats, the whole darn cycle.....at least its a good hobby for one thing.
My strength is not that of the mountains, nor is as vast as the plains, nor does each wave crash upon the shore and thunder like lightning into my viens...but that which i can muster, and that which i will, i will bring myself foward into this world like no man has done before...
