You've more than convinced us all that you have faith in him, considering you've taken more time than you really should be taking to defend him.

However, Gene, if you've noticed? You're the only person in the AMV scene who's defending Geoff right now. Why isn't Geoff himself on the board, begging forgiveness for the job he's done? Shouldn't the person in charge of one of the country's most respected AMV contests be more reachable than he was? The fact that he has no CAR and that the King of Prussia prescreening (the first one) had to be cancelled because a third party had a car accident is a major, major problem.

I don't place *all* of the blame on Geoff, but I also place some of the blame on the people who decided he'd be a good coordinator. Personally I think we'd be better if Matt Pyson came back. Otakon 2003 had pretty much no problems whatsoever, and I consider it to be the smoothest-run AMV contest I've seen. Matt was easily reachable and not only knows his stuff, but knows many of us creators and is on good terms with us (unlike Geoff, who seems to have pissed most of the established AMV scene off to no end). Sadly, the chances of this happening are probably as slim as the chances of anyone else coming out to defend Geoff.

With hesitancy, I say that while the new guy should be given an opportunity, he should be held on a very, very short leash. Two years of in a row of a muddled AMV competition could ruin the reputation that the Otakon contest has (or as of now, used to have...)

So dookol you at least agree with me that if we have this new guy take over possibly that it could reuin the Otakon AMV Contest. Then why don't we help Geoff as a community sorta like my anime club helped me run it when alot of stuff was going on with me at one point in time. I see how the amv comparision didn't work, but still I affected a group of people before and they help made suggestions on what I could do to make it better.

If need be I'll be the contact for Geoff right now, but he has offered his phone number but he isn't home until about 4 or 5 pm Monday through Friday. Just pm me and I'll give it to you. He is trying to open up. I would like to say I am 100% sure things would go better next year but nothing is ever a 100%. What do you say? With Geoff I think Otakon can be saved. You guys know me here from the org. You know when I give opinions I try to be as helpful as I can. Trust me at least. Remember I'm only human and I do make mistakes but yet as an amv creator and coordinator of a new contest that's going on right at this moment. I know who hard it is to run one. And yes I did mess up by not making seperate categories and having all videos compete against each other. But I did do a fix on it where certain categories of videos get bonus points baised on the less favorite categories to watch. I'm sure next year I'll have it better planned out but we will never know if we don't give him a second chance.

You've ignoring everything, except what you want to hear.

Gene...

You're an immature kid.

You don't understand anything that went on.

You don't know enough to care about why so many people wanted to see Geoff gone.

You need to take a few more years to mature before you'll even begin to realize just how dimwitted and contrary you're being now, and even then you need to become far more worldly and perceptive.

Geoff made excuses all year as to why he couldn't do a better job. He should not have been selected in the first place, as he was unable to communicate adequately.

Now, you're here to say give him another chance - not because you have any sound, valid reasoning behind anything you say, but beause "it's the right thing to do."

Nothing's "the right thing to do" unless you know why you're doing it.

Gene, THINK before you post even one more word. You are doing nothing here but making yourself look really, really, really, REALLY stupid.

That's the most intelligent thing you've said in this entire thread. *golf clap*
