Favorite techno style?

Hmm... Well, trance is cool with me. My brother is more of an expert on this; he tends to listen to a lot of electronic stuff lately.

Where our interests in electronic music do converge is definitely in ambient electronic stuff, but I don't suppose it's considered dance music to any degree

Seeing the guide, I like Eletronic Music as a whole.

All the sub-genres and sub sub-genres are connected.

So from Trance to Jungle to DownTempo, I listen to everything.

The guide does put Ambient as a sub-genre of DownTempo, Otohiko.

Ambient is great music, indeed it is.

DownTempo, huh.

Well, sounds reasonable enough; if there is really any 'tempo' to speak of in the ambient stuff I listen to (soundscapes and such).

If I had to pick from DigitallyImported... I'd go with Trance, Progressive, and possibly Euro Dance.

Though actually, I'd probably pick the New Age station that they seem to provide (bottom of page) over them all - provided it's what I think it is - but of course, I got no bandwith right now to listen to online radio anyway. Plus there's enough stuff I already got to listen to

ya know, as far as i care its all techno. thiers no use into dividing things up into so many little sub gendres. its just anoying

Umm... Drum'n'Bass < Jungle < Drill'n'Bass < IDM, but that's because I'm a nerd. An indie rock nerd, no less.

i know i like some techno, but like most things i just do and dont really know. i looked at my fav playlist and i have lots of chillout (i belive its called), after much editing those were the ones i didnt remove, ambience is pretty sweet too.
