sorry for bringing this up again, but this deals with another video I'm working on with source footage that I don't know if I can use on here. part of this fits in the live action question, but most of the movie is animated, so I didn't know how the rules applied here.
if a video uses footage from this movie, would it be considered anime?
(80% of the movie is fully animated, while the remaining 20% is live actors in an animated setting. I would be using most of the movie, so it's safe to say the video would be 80% animation.)
again, I thank you for your input.
another 'is this anime' question: mini moni movie

Yea, that's the key question here. If it is made in Japan, and is primarily animated, it's cool. It might not be in the database yet, in which case it might take a little bit for the admins to approve it as anime.bum wrote:well is it anime ? as in, is it made in japan ?
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

well, it is made in japan, but while it is animated, I'm not sure I would put it in the same category as anime, as it has more to do with jpop than with anime in general. it just happens to be a mostly animated movie. it'll still be awhile before I get to it, but I want to make sure it's approved as anime prior to entering it into the database, as I know having any non-anime videos in the database is frowned upon. ^_^bum wrote:well is it anime ? as in, is it made in japan ?
