DVD capture hardware?

Post by rainedragon » Sat Sep 04, 2004 10:06 am

I don't know too much about hardare, and my dad who knows alot, doesn't know too much about video. so here is my question, do you need a special type of hardware to capture video from a DVD? like a video capture card or something?

BTW, right now I am using screen captures --- frame by frame ---- captured by hand... for my video and I'm thinking... there has gotta be a better way...

A DVD reading drive. After that, it's all software.

Well, that's the easy way to do it, anyway. Actual capture is a lot more complicated and requires a capture card.
