Favorite techno style?
For me, it's Trance. No, I'm not a raver. Everyone asks that when I say I like Trance...

Techno huh?
I heard one of thems once,
you know there was this one part that was like...
and then this other part came in and it was like...
Then they had some kind of high-piched noise, y'know? like a siren that was all...
Then they had to have the obbligatory Old movie quote from some sci-fi movie that was like...
"The system is down..."

Technically speaking, Trance and Techno are two different sub-genres of Dance Electronica.Vhan wrote:For me, it's Trance. No, I'm not a raver. Everyone asks that when I say I like Trance...

I like a variety of techno/trance, but I don't know what you might categorize them as. I like Delerium and Deep Forest (though isn't that more new age?), and I like the Chemical Brothers. Good stuff. I especially like instrumental stuff.
I took an interest in the older stuff like Kraftwerk a while back, and that got me into newer stuff.
And now I'm a metalhead.

And I bet I couldn't tell the difference, even though I like the sounds. Metal, on the other hand... let's not go there.TaranT wrote:It's a wide gulf between Astral Projection (Goa) and ATB (progressive, Ibiza).

Well I like electronic or Electronica or dance music in general.
But don't really know the sub-genres names.
Can anyone tell me the sub-genres?
But house, trance and techno are most definitely included.
