well, its negative if you take it seriously, but then again, we dont want to encourage those actions when one fails at their amv.

I would've been dead several times by now then. I've accidentally destroyed HuffYUV and MPEG-2 copies of 3 of my recent videos, all in separate incidents.

But I do think the website needs a slightly more positive approach, since dark humor isn't always taken in context by others.

Humor is not permissible.

all to true, in some places, and the cursor is only on the yes, not clicking it, and maybe the guy, i forget his name, has a very strange fetish of enjoying the taste of the gun? its worth a shot, however thin that might be.

i did try to make a positive one, but apparantly it was rejected along with so many like if, although most of those dont include a quote by voltaire.

Oh geez. I made this banner sometime last year, and I clearly remember at least one person having the reaction "you guys really need to get some oxygen":

... when I had never meant it as anything more than a joke.

What was the reason given for that one being rejected? It could have looked a little nicer but the quote was very appropriate.

Personally I think that banners have improved somewhat recently. I've seen a lot of very well made ones, some very original ones, and even a few instant classics (Any new AMV's yet?

I've never gotten an e-mail....

But I'm pretty sure why my last lens flare one got rejected anyway (I lens-flared the logo, I guess that's a no-no). Plus the text wasn't terribly legible, though I've seen far worse get to the voting stage.
