AWA Expo

Post by greenjinjo » Sun Aug 29, 2004 4:00 pm

Just a quick question really, does anyone know what day and time the actual Expo contest is going to be held at AWA this year?

Did they start that early last year? I know they have to show the winners for the Expo, Pro and they try to show the majority of the Masters but I somehow recall it being later. But then again I was talking with people till 2 am each day so I kind of lost my concept of a solar scheduel.

The winners announced last year had to be around 5pm.

Either way, I know they finished kind of late. I remember because I had to beg my parents to let me stay until the awards were over beforehand, and ended up leaving just after the SNES Project started.

Well there are seperate awards for each contest but they do all of the awards all at once so first they give out all the awards and show the respective videos for Expo and so on for Pro and Masters. However each has their own specific "overflow" time during the weekend where the videos that didn't win get shown.

Sorry for the stupid question, but is this contest like Otakon where the finalists (or winners) are know beforehand and then the rest are in the overflow rooms, or are they actually announced there at the con?

Announced at con. Last year one of the videos didn't feature the bumper for the award it won so Vlad had to spend the entire contest wondering what award he won.
