Windows Media not playing AMV's anymore
Ok here's the problem guys. I have a nice library of AMVs and they all played perfectly in my Window's Media Player. All of a sudden, it's not able to fully read most of the files. The only type it can read, still, perfectly are ones labled Window's Media Audio/Video File. When I go to play any of the others the screen has this green bar on the bottom and multiple lines of green throughout the rest. The video comes up but it looks like it has shadows and I end up seeing 3 people instead of just one. I think some people call these "ghosts", kinda like in video games. I just don't understand why all of a sudden it would play them all freaky like this. Please help me if you can!

Hmm, I think it's likely to be a missing codec. I'm too lazy to grab a load of different links but you can find what you might need in the description here (not meaning to pimp the video
) http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=38670
Failing that, I would probably suggest you try to open the video in Virtual Dub and see what codec/fourCC is assigned to it, or if it even plays. It could be you need to install the graphics drivers again/update them, but hold off that for now.
As another thing to try, you could also try opening the video with gspot to make sure it isnt corrupt, it should also give you more information as to the codec and such, and possibly what point of the render it's failing at.
