@ Nightowl: I fully planned on hitting Heroes up after I hear back from the convention center 
They're pretty cool, they may be willing to sponsor something. I'll cehck with UNC Jams, I know here at NCState we have a group called Jams as well. Maybe they're related?

Just a quick question, would having the convention take place at a hotel conference room downtown be alright as well? I know some take place in these locations, I'm just looking into different options.
