Well right now I'm trying to upload my finished huffy at 24 fps to rose4emily's ftp and it says it will take over 24 hours, so hopefully my computer doesn't crash or the ftp doesn't go down during that time. I'm only getting 11k for upload, while I have up to 256k of upload bandwidth. Either its on my side or the server's side. Not sure, but it will be done eventually. After my huffy is uploaded, I will do my images next. I'll take a crack at my monologue and ask for help from downwithpants I guess, if I need help ^_^.

Other than that, hope everyone is having a good summer so far! Its been ok for me, however the weather here in Minnesota is like autumn. This whole week has been highs in the 60s to 50s and lows in the 40s! One last tidbit; I start college, well actually technical college Monday, August 23rd for a 2 year graphic design program. When school starts for me I'm sure I'll be very busy and not have a lot of time to work on anything too indepth. It shouldn't be a problem since I finished my video and just have my monologue left. Heh, school usually doesn't hamper my editing much - it's more work and procrastination/games that kill it. And so far, I found that college actually leaves more time for editing than high school. Still, I don't claim it's the same for everyone

ugh, sorry, another small issue - I noticed DWP uploaded his pics zipped and with the monologue. Should I do the same, or are the separate pics I just put on there OK?

I noticed the webpage talks about submitting MPEG-2 renders to Bakadeshi. Is that still on? Should I get those perhaps?

The making of the DVD has been put off for the moment. We want to focus on getting the actual project done first... *hint*hint*

Erm... and I don't think it really matter whether you've zipped your images or not; just make sure that Rose4 can tell that they're yours.


It's funky how this thread gets occasional bursts of posts then relapses into long periods of inactivity. Does anybody think I should change the "August" in my sig to "Someday"?

yea lets work on completing the project first. Plus I still need to set up a drive to accept all those mpegs, and I don't have the space yet with 2 different AMV projects (about 6 DVD rips, plus Huffys) on my HD.

I'll post again when I'm ready for the segments to be compiled and submitted.

On the note of my entry, I finally got around to fixing those quirks Jasper pointed out, with added suggestions from songbird, and will be uploading ver 1.4 of "Oratorio of Ghibli" to the FTP, once I figure out wich ftp is working right now. I redid those "white flashes" using a technique I learned on my AWA pro video, hopefully it looks better.

ver 1.4 is posted to the FTP. its 126 megs because its a full quality Xvid at quantizer 1 for best quality to reencode into the project. This is the final version, unless some glaring error is uncovered.
