If I suddenly became a Gundum Seed character the first thing that I'd do is say,"What the fuck?"

I would be a "Natural Coordinator".

Cool skills but "normal".

Heck it doesn't even matter...the Gundams are the important stuff.

If I became a Gundam Seed character, I would see my local psychiatrist and hope he'd have some sort of medication that treated people with multiple personalities.

YES! Thank you! I totally agree with that! :D

If I became a Gundam Seed character, I'd immediately start posting on this forum complaining about Gundam Seed and its likeness to Mobile Suit Gundam (1979).

Evolution is too slow. I say if you don't like something you have two hands frickin' fix it.

Why not give people all the advantage you can. I don't think predestining people through genetic manipulation is good. It kills the purpose living by reducing people to tasks. Hell machines can be made do anything people can. So that purpose is vital.

However why have people born with bad eye sight or diabetes etc. Disease's and disadvantages could be corrected before a cure would ever be needed.

I have a hard time sticking to a Gundam series since Gundam Wing.

Too much stop the war talk and slow development. It has something of philosophy, but lacks explosions. GW was a sad waste. It had such potential in story and the art was awesome. But it fell short with the action and intrigue. Pity it had some of the best mecha design ever.

If you like the genetic engineering vs nature idea try the book Brave New World.

The guy that wrote it put the story 600 yrs in the future to tackle the issue. Its actually closer 500 yrs in the future now. The book is old but famous. The writer actually predicted helicopters, skyscrapers, bureaucratic take over, birth control and to some extent cloning.

If you read it keep in mind the natural society is meant to be equally horrible in its own way to the future society. The writer's point was balance.

Anyway my vote is coordinator. Who cares how your are born. The path through life is what counts.

I'd rather be a natural that a coordinator; I wouldn't want to have to contribute any glory I gained to something that I wouldn't have had, were it not given to me (Extra abilities and whatnot).

I don't know what I would do as soon as I bacame a Gundam character, but I know that if I were to do just one thing semi-notable...I'd run for president after I retired.
You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.

Agreed. Evolution is being hampered by medical innovations, and it's fitting, then, that medical science should be the driving force behind genetic change. It's no use arguing about it, as the aforementioned medical science 's inevitable - wait, make that happening right now right here. About time we got our share of Newtypes and Coordinators - and the Darwin Awards can only help so much.

(Offhand: Thanks to the very inept President Bush and extremist christian convervatives, our now-relgiously-decent country is losing a lot of money to other countried with more civil liberties and academic rights. You can't stop cloning from happening. )
