Here's my solution: post a sticky message stating that such threads are a waste of time. You might also want to explain what happened to Off-Topic and why. Maybe this will cut down on the "We want OT back!!11!!!1!!1!" threads.

Emphasis on "maybe".

The shear fact that people keep asking about is proof they have not looked around for the info already.It has been said more than once as it is.A sticky will do litle good to grab thier attention.
