R.o.d. tv - is it any good?

Does this has anything to do with the ova's? It's better than the ova's?

It's a seperate story in the same universe, with occasional cameos from the OVA characters. The music and style is very similar, and the quality of the series I thought to be good.

It has everything to do with the OAVs but even more to do with all the original manga. And in my opinion, yes, it's better than the OAVs for a variety of reasons. One of the really great things about ROD TV is that we get to see paper magic used offensively instead of just defensively like in the OAVs. The action sequences in general are just breath taking, I'm really surprised we haven't seen any real good AMVs done to the series yet.

I've got an idea for an AMV using the song "Whenever, Wherever" by Shakira. The lyrics match pretty well to some of the themes and the variable beat rate would make it ideal to do some animation synching.

Yeap, you can do so. I'd like to see it naturally........you amv....
Have yet to see the show, and since some episodes are missing from the show, i can't start watching it now. I have to wait a little bit longer.

Yeah, I like it alot too. I saw one video for it that was pretty good. "Running Reflections" was the title.

You want to try something really cool with the show though? If you have the soundtrack to the OVA, go to episode 23, and at 18:33 into the episode, play track 9. It goes over the episode well and fades into the shows music.

I saw about half of it and had to stop simply because I didn't have the rest at that point. *shrug* I think there are better shows out there, but it's not bad. My biggest problem with it (if I'm remembering it correctly) is that I felt like it had a hard time focusing on which character was the "main" one (I finally decided it was Anita, I think). One of these days I'll get around to finishing it...

It has almost nothing to do with the OVAs until just after the halfway point. After that, you see the OVA and its characters in a whole new light.
