Local Download Error?

Post by Nicq » Thu Jul 29, 2004 1:22 pm

when I get to the page where you wait 10 seconds for the local download to start, after the 10 seconds it suddenly brings me to blank page with black letters at the top saying:

ERROR: You are attempting to download this video too soon after your last download attempt.

When this is the first video download I'm downloading today! I don't use any download helpers or download accelerators.

What should I do?

I have this same problem. When i try to download locally, I just get the file "downloadlocal.php" everytime. And when I open it, I get that same error. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Genrou: are you right-clicking on the 'LOCAL' link on the video info page? You should left-click it, whereupon you will be taken ot a page on which the download will start automatically.

Nope, not right clicking. When I click on the link, it takes me to the download page. The download window comes up, but it's always for "downloadlocal.php", never the video.

Ah, I tried it with Internet Explorer, and it works fine. Thank you to all who tried to help. And Zarxrax, thank you for leading my train of thought to a browser problem!

Seems everyone that uses MSN Explorer has that issue...
WTF *IS* MSN explorer? Why would Microsoft offer a competing browser to the one they already have?

I'm pretty sure MSN explorer is a modded IE. That, or a modded Mac IE, which is actually quite different.
