i don't care about these people for their intelligence (we've both pointed out that it's below the limits of "bearable") i care because they EXIST. there are people out there that are stupid enough to miss out on NGE because of the above mentioned reasons and that only causes them to miss a chance to leave behind their state of stupidity, thus repeating this vicious circle with other good anime.
i feel sorry for them. They don't affect me, and hell if they did i'd just kick their heads. But they affect themselves and contribute to dropping the average IQ of the human race to seven. That's sad.

Then I have but a few things to say -
Surely you wouldn't rather Evangelion not be rereleased for the sake of the aforementioned people? That would be putting the interests of non-fans over the interest of fans, since it's better to have the best version available.
I stick to the belief that not everyone should see Evangelion, that would just create more hatred towards it. People who want to see Evangelion because they think it will appeal to them, that's superb, but when people see it just to see the famous Evangelion, they are often dissapointed and turn their abilities towards dissing the series. People can live a full life without having seen Evangelion, if someone doesn't want to see it because they're dumb enough to judge a series by the fact that it's being rereleased, they'll go on without it and probably be the happier because of it. After all, the best way to spread Evangelion's splendor is for you and I to reccomend it to people.

If you go to high school, you could start a Modern Humanist Ideals after school club and show Evangelion in its entirity. That's what I'm doing, atleast.

high-school in Brazil is a lot crappier than that. that's why me and the previously stated Chico and Ogninho convinced five other people to buy it during the lunch breaks for a month. the only thing we have at my school not directly related to grades is (and i so ever-deeply appreciate it) Projeto Otaku (Otaku Project) every SATURDAY . But it's worth it. The anime-freak 9th, 10th and 11th graders go into the auditorium to spend two hours watching anime and AMVs. I love it
