"I forgot his name, but in the Funimation Presents: How anime comes to the US panel at AX I got to talk to head of marketing for Funimation. I asked him about the status of Naruto Licensing. he said, "So far as far as I know Naruto will not be licensed for the time being." He also said that, "If we do get the license we will try to bring it to the US market uncut for TV." All the Naruto Cosplayers cheered when he said that.
In Viz Panel (or press conference) they said regarding Naurto, "don't even mention that right now, naruto is in the middle of a huge licensing war, we do know that Naruto is extremely popular in the USA, just look at all the cosplayers in the AX." He also mentioned that whoever get's the license they [Viz] probably will work together to co-promote Naruto in Shonen Jump with who ever gets the license in the end.

That's what I was saying all along, though I've never read anything on it. It's obvious to me that the owners of rights to Naruto know of its' huge potential in the american market, and aren't willing to part with the license for just any kind of payment. It'll really cost a big buck to whoever takes it. I wouldn't be surprised if it showed up on TV once it gets licensed, too - it's a moneymaker for sure, and they'll have to make the high licensing fee count...

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
