I have had an anime scene stuck in my head for weeks now and I can not remember the name of the movie that it was from. I saw previews for it a long time ago on some anime movie, it could have been ninja scroll. I dont have a great description of it but this was my best bet as a place to look. One of the scenes that stands out in my head is a fight in a thick grassy area, and one of the main characters grabs this guys head between his knees and snaps his neck. The movie also has a very recognizable music with it, but god if I can remember it. If I can think of anything else I will post, but most of what I remember is too vague to be of any help.
I also believe at one point ne of the main chars fights some sort of spider like monster and is bitten by it and cared for by another main character. If anyone knows of this I am sorry if I butchered how any of these scenes work, its been years.
Thanks!

nope, not Ninja Scoll. Ive checked manga's web site and didn't see it.
The good news is I think I remember the anime I saw it on, the bad news is I can't remember the name of that either, it was an I word and the company was a 3 letter word I think. Jesus I wish I had more information
Or it could have been a preview on Cutie Honey. I am trying to think of all the anime I watched around then that it could have been on!

This sounds a lot like Curse of the Yoma, especially the music part. This anime is released by ADV, and includes the scenes described. The "Ninja Counting Song", the series' signature piece, is extremely haunting and could easily stay in memory for several years.
It's a decent show for a two-episode OVA, but the animation isn't always top-notch and the story can be a little dense at times. You might want to rent it first before buying.
This was released twice; no dub was done originally and the title on the VHS was Yoma: Curse of the Undead. Later ADV redid it for DVD, including an English dub, and called it Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.
