I thought it was ok. Admittedly, I was expecting something to the effect of "Rust In Peace 2" (as were many others), but it's decent "return-to-roots" MEGADETH. A few songs stand out, others were just plain, and a couple I was like  (yeah, whatever). I still have much respect for Mustaine and the legacy he has left on the metal world - the guy simply needs to take a chill pill now and then; he talks too freaking much. Well, his forum posts anyway go on forever. You'd think he could streamline his thoughts the way he does with lyrics.

The artwork for the cover is rather cool. VIC returns!

Personally, I think this album is their best yet. And this coming from a Megadeth fan who's been into the metal scene since '91. Might not seem too long ago, but I was only 6. :P 13 years of being a fan, and I really think this is their best. Rust in Peace is still amazing, but I think this is just a little bit better. What disappointed me is that I was expecting a ballad similar to My Darkest Hour and didn't get it. I love that song to death, and these songs don't quite compare to it on some levels. But as an album, I love this to death.

Oh, and "Die Dead Enough" is pure f*cking gold. \m/

I might give it another listen, but I'd really like to wait to see what "the reviews" say about it when released.

I want to have sex with the cd, then explode all over the bottom of it so I never have to listen to it again.
