Seriously, I remember back when going from 14.4 to a 33.6 connection (about 3-5KBps) was just BLAZING fast and you kids are cryin over 65KBps?! WTF?!

I mean, really, I can recall having to wait like HOURS and HOURS just to download a 50mb file...*shakes head*...you all should be happy you have what you got and stop bitchin about it.
ive had experience with a 14kb-56kb before and ive hated it;; dling a 80mb music video was like WOW a whole month's worth of dling rite there
btw a 14-33 connection gives u around a 1kb-3kb downstream 5kb is for 56
*shrugs*

I used to get as high as 8KBps with my old 56k connection...although keep in mind part of that speed has to do with data compression and transmission than it does with the original hardware limitations. It's sorta like converting a PCM WAV file to an MP3 before you send it to someone and then when they get it they convert it back into a PCM WAV file...only it's done with tiny lil chunks REALLY fast.[/quote]

Around 5000 Gheez! I guess I never really ran a search for any DBZ vids.
I'd take one Ghibli movie over the entire DBZ series anyday.

Seriously through with numbers like that are we getting to a point where it's "We don't Host if You don't Donate". I mean servers are expensive not to mention internet bandwidth. I have always thought of the Golden Dounut as something more than I could have ever asked for and I am incredible grateful for the use of it. However, is it something sustainable or will it become just to much of a burden to maintain in the present way.

I'm not trying to start a debate over the matter, these were just some of my concerns. :|

Just wondering. Could we get a picture of our Golden Douhnut Server? I'd like to see our baby. I'd like to know where he lives too.
This is just curiosity. Ignor it if you want.
No, I'm not dead...
