AMV Slump?

I've seen more awesome videos this year than I did last year, so I see no slump...

Though I wish my idol, Mr. William Milburry(Aluminum Studios) would come back into the game more often than he seems to be now...hes the one who inspired me to become a creator, and the first "real good" videos I saw were by him. Tim Park(Doki Doki) is another favorite of minebut I'm pretty sure hes still doing stuff normally.

So yeah other than Aluminum Studios lacking links to alot of his videos I really haven't have a problem with this year, though I will agree the inpour of shitty thrown together 'videos' has increased significantly.

Wait for his Otakon 2004 video; I'm sure it will turn a few heads when he eventually releases it here.

Is everyone just supposed to churn out videos like they were working in a factory. This is a hobby. Even if only 1% of the videos that are released are good, then that means that every 3 days at most a good video gets released.

Now what has changed is the exposure of videos. And the people that are saying that there are no great videos this year have been exsposed to AMVs just long enough for things not to seem as new. I felt similar feelings in 2002 when most people were seeing what they consider the great videos for the first time.

Things just seem old and un-new, it happens with everything. Everythings allready been done.
