dual layer dvd burners, anyone?

dual layer dvd burners, anyone?
anyone have one/used one yet? ANy impressions? reccomendations?

i have one. but i dont have any media to burn. i have singal layer dvds and i burn cd's with it. i cant wait to get my hands on some dvd9's though. mines a NEC and i cant complain, it was cheep and has nice featuers. id say get one.

no mine was $80. i dont see a dule layer burner on newegg for $60 the cheepest one on there is still the one i got this one. cept i have the black face one.

If I needed a new writer, I'd probably get a dual-layer (as long as it did 8x-16x in single layer mode), but I don't see the point in having one now. It's tough finding dual layer blanks, too. I'd rather go the other direction - to the mini-DVDs (3-inch). But the price of those is too high.
BTW, I just got an email this evening from Pegasys stating that version 1.6 of TMPGEnc DVD Author is available. All it does is add support for dual layer DVD+R. $11 to upgrade the software.
