For some reason, during the school year, my computer would turn on in the middle of the night (I'm quite positive I turned it on in my sleep, my parents, for some odd reason, think the computer has a timer of some sort and turns itself on randomly) and I would always forget to turn down my speakers. It's true... Just use the Blank screensaver, or just have your monitor turn off... Since I'm on a laptop, power consumption is a high priority. When it's plugged in, my monitor shuts off after 15 minutes.
