New CLAMP anime...[Sweet Valerian]

ANN's article about Sweet Valerian

Much as I love CLAMP, I've got to wonder about this one... The characters look nothing like any of their earlier work (I'm reminded of Hello Kitty or maybe Super Gals), though the storyline at least sounds like something they'd come up with. Since they're only doing the concept and character designs, I'm curious about who's going to be doing the writing, and how good the writers will be.

Still, it's CLAMP and MadHouse, so I'll give it a shot when it starts.

Okay, now, I love CLAMP to death and all. I mean, my list of CLAMP manga titles includes:
Magic Knight Rayearth boxed set
Magic Knight Rayearth II boxed set
Chobits - full
Cardcaptor Sakura boxed set
Cardcaptor Sakura boxed set 2
And I've started collecting:
Angelic Layer - 2 volumes
Tsubasa - vol. 1
xxxHolic - vol. 1
My dream has been to one day own my own copy of all that is clamp. But... really now... after having read that article... could someone please explain to me WHY it's necessary for these people to turn into bunnies again...? O_o Oh, I'll probably end up getting into it because I'm a lame sucker like that, but really now... I dunno...

I don't like the character designs, and the concept sounds pretty weird. I mean, it could be cute, but I dunno. Not sure I'll like this one.

...and normally I'm a big CLAMP fans, too.

Looks like a cross between Hello Kitty and Chobits, almost. I'll check this one out as well as the new xxxHolic movie (that's the one I'm excited for).

I'm most definately curious to see who will be doing the writing. I'll give it a shot as well, I'm intrigued to see the demographic as well.

It looks very kiddish, but the concept doesn't sound like something that would interest kids (aside from the bunnies) which makes me wonder whether or not it will have some Clampian twist....

The designs look cute, they look like the mini Clamp moments that Nick Mekoi (I believe she's the artist that does it) inserts at the end of some of their manga when they discuss themselves and their hobbies etc.

Ah, another CLAMP whore, like me, lol. I just have to ask however... what happened to the X manga, why don't you have that?

And OMFG the artbooks are absolutely sensational!!

CLAMP...is absolutely amazing. I love all things CLAMP, ne, Moonlight?

The character designs look kinda like their chibis, but bigger.
