Wait a minute $35 pizza? I didn't see that last night. Seems a bit expensive to me, but I guess that's what it takes since we're "renting out" a place. *shrug*.Red Wolf wrote:I need to ask a new question but keep posting if you are planning on coming to dinner. These numbers are very preliminary but I want to get a sense of where I should put my focus. Which would you be willing to do given the details below? You can answer for a specific one, both, or none.
Pizza Party - $35 per head
This gets us a room that seats 100 people in round tables of 10 at the Cobb Galleria (the convention center connected to the con hotel), a pizza buffet, and possibly a LCD projector and sound system to plug a laptop into and play AMVs in the background.
Dave & Buster's - $40 per head
This gets us a private room with billiard and shuffleboard tables for two hours, a buffet dinner, access to the midway (cost of video games is additional and will be up to each individual) and bus transportation between the con hotel and D&B.

That $35 covers the room, pizza buffet, and the A/V equipment. I don't have any final numbers but the break down would something like this:dwchang wrote:Wait a minute $35 pizza? ~$30 per person for the buffet (that is my own estimate based on their normal prices, they are going to do a custom pizza buffet just for us so I'm waiting for the final quote). That's about the standard price at any nice hotel or convention center but we get the advantage of not being stuck with the same meal for everyone. D&B food is a bit cheaper (close to $20 per person). No place will rent us out the room and then allow us to bring in our own good.
The room will cost between $375 and $475 depending on size. That being said they have a weird rental offset when you buy food so if we get 50 people or more the room will end up being free.
A/V equipment breaks down to between $2 and $6 per person depending on whether I need to rent the projector or I can get one elsewhere.
Obviously Carrabba's would be a bit cheaper for everyone but I think the pizza party gives us everything we are looking for at the best price right now.

That is the leading option right now, yes. We'd have the room until midnight so the thought did cross my mind that VAT staff could at least pop in at some point. That, and I keep everyone from crashing the VAT unlike last yearsixstop wrote:at the convention center?![]()

Pizza Party gets my vote, since it'll be easier to get to.Red Wolf wrote:
