I like metallica, because I didn't buy St. Anger.

A movie sounds pretty stupid actually, but hey whatever they can do to earn some money.

Up till and inc the Black Album I was a huge Metal lica

But after I heard Reload and then that Napsta(?) shit they lost me, i still enjoy their old albums but I just cant stand anything after Black..

Just like all the other good bands, their shit dont last forever, then it turns into it.

Unfortunately for your "point", one apple that went bad in 1991 does not spoil the whole barrel. If you bother to read the thread, you'll see that most metalheads on here (including the current poster) share your opinion of the band's current state.

I caught some clips of this on Headbangers' Ball Saturday. It was interesting to see Trujillo's audition and the video of the edited, snare-softened version of "SKOM" that is being released as a seven-dollar marketing op with the movie, but it was interesting for two-minute clips seen for free on TV. There is no conceivable reason to pay eight bucks to be subjected to this for 2 hours in a theater.

The last record Metallica made (well, before last year's pile of shit) with screamed vocals was Kill 'Em All (1983)...which took 6 years and a rerelease to go gold. Master of Puppets (1986) went gold within a year of release with NO radio airplay whatsoever.

And Saint Anger has so far sold less than ReLoad...so they may have gone back to screaming to get money, but it aint coming in.

When Deicide, Hypocrisy, Sigh, Testament, and Agalloch can, combined, achieve 1/10th of the average media coverage of any of Bad Boy or Death Row's marquee artists, or any of them release any new record that sells into six figures worldwide, it may amuse me to grant you this point for argument's sake.

Anyways, the point of all the hate from metalheads on this thread is that the core of this movie is "Metallica goes to therapy to stop drinking and learn to give each other warm fuzzies". Even though you've got some valid points about Saint Anger, you're still not right or on topic.
