editing is HELL.. its a pain in the ass to go through all the work of editing.... especially putting 50+ hours just to find out that your video is looking like crap.. thats one reason i speed edit..less time on a vid means less hell.. songs get so repetative... a lot of the songs i've edited to i cant stand to listen to anymore.. after hearing them so many times they get very annoying. the only reason i edit is because i cant stop myself, the rush i get from completing a good video, the feeling i get when im throing random clips into premiere to random music.. its so nice.. but for the most part, editing sucks... making a good vid however, that makes it all worth it..

Editing is fun, but I still see it as more of a process that's necessary to accomplish the goal I'm heading towards. It's more about the destination than the journey, so to speak.

This is great but there are a lot less aspiring video editors out there than I though. Does anyone have ambitions relating to flim or video editing?

Yup, I'm taking an english course at university next year that includes video editing.

Everyeone else: Im basically studying to make editing/motion graphics a career. I figure torturing the hell out of myself making an AMV will make working for a client that much easier.

i love editing, and i agree with fluxy in that its a creative outlet.

I am going to college and i plan to study editing as part of my digital media studies....
