Metrocon '04 Get-Together

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere yet, but it seems like Rut Kiskasca's organizing a get-together for Saturday at midnight at the local Waffle House. You can find more details on his site at http://www.kiskasca.net/. So is anyone here planning on coming ?

Hey thanks for the heads up!!! At this time, I can't say if I will be there, but I'll run it by my friend and see if he wants to go. (the poor thing lost his internet connection and can't find it - We must all search...! oh sorry)
Is this the only planned "get-together"?

I'd come if my mom didn't have that fear of me hanging out with rapists/kidnappers/drug-addicts(aka.. people she doesn't know/trust) oh well...

That was how my mom thought originally. Then I told her how fun it was and showed her pictures of us all hanging out and explaining what's going on in each picture. As for the get-together, I will see what I can do.

There are no kidnappers or drug dealers.
Besides, you'll just be a couple minutes away right? We've already "talked" on the IM, so you can just say you're meeting friends!

Me and my friends really wanna go but, WE ARE REALLY SHY, NERVOUS, SCARED, and 15 and very afraid that you "high and mighty" people will shun us! AH! NOT THE SHUN!

Are you people nice>just kidding<! Oh and another problem is we can't get a ride there at midnight because...well...our guardian will be sleeping and WE DONT HAVE LICENSES!

Could one of you noble people give us a ride!?

i'm pretty sure that none of us are all high and mighty right? that's rigiht! none of us are cool!

eh.. anyways.. yea, i'm having a medium/small sized little group with me so.. yea.. (it'll be a group of asians and one white guy

If you're staying at the official con hotel, I could see about maybe getting you guys a ride (although it depends on how many of you there are, because my car's quite small). And from the AMVers I've met, you won't have to worry about people being "high and mighty", although "mighty high" could be the case. (Just kidding

) Anyway, look forward to seeing some of ya there.
