rozard...
i have some shocking, old, outdated, and you've probably heard before news about your favorite band, "311"
are you aware that the eleventh number in the alphabet is "k"? did you also know that the beginning number in your favorite band's name is three? now...what's "k" three times? oh yes, kkk. hmmmm....the only conclusion i can come to out of this is that rozard is a racist bastard lurking the amv forums for unsuspecting jews and blacks.
you better run leathelanime, rozard's in town

That's a coincidence. 311 does not promote hate. Even the <a href="http://www.adl.org/hate_symbols/numbers ... Defamation League</a>, one of the biggest groups in America against anti-Semitism acknowledges this.
Also on the ADL's website is an interesting <a href="http://www.adl.org/hate_symbols/updates ... atabase</a> of hate symbols.

And when was this? I mean, I don't listen to 311, but is it just a rumor or was there an actual news story about it, and if so, who did it? Anyhow, more stuff:
Good old <a href="http://www.snopes.com/music/artists/311 ... pes.com</a> talks about it.

*Sigh*
"311 is an Omaha police code for indecent exposure. One rainy day, P-Nut and some friends went skinny dipping in a public pool. They were apprehended by police. One of P-Nut's friends (Jim Watson) was arrested, cuffed (naked) and taken home to his parents. He was issued a citation for a code 311 (indecent exposure). We thought this was funny, so we took it as our band name. After the humor of the name wore off, we still kept it because we liked that it was just abstract and that it did not define us in anyway. The name did not describe our sound or our politics, it just let the music speak for itself."
It's a fucking police code, just like 187 and 420. I wonder why 112 hasn't been given any shit about their name standing for the BBBBBBBBBBB
At any rate, anyone who's listened to their music knows that 311 is not racist, and neither am I. 311 also brought with them to the Warped Tour last year the Anti-Racism crew, that set up a tent selling anti-racism and anti-nazi paraphernailia.
