Try using ftp://www.thewired.info instead of the IP number.

Rose4Emily - actually I would love free hosting, especially at a place with a name as cool as "The Wired." I'll PM you for details.

Does my monologue have to be all professional and stuff, or can it just be something like... "save the whales"

aznraver: if your video was about whales, then the monologue can be about whales. otherwise - not so much. as much as i like ridiculous humor (and, after all, what is humor that is not a target of laughter - to follow latin definitions), fantasia had a certain professional air to the monologue speaches and i think we should do the same here.

songbird: very nice - you really made it come together for a great, fresh action video.

jasper: beautiful. you're batting two for two on this (ooh...bad baseball analogy - i've been spending too much time at the office). btw - chris nguyen is aznraver1022. i just did a search, having somehow failed to put two and two together.

on the credits: how many people do we have full names and info for. i'm guessing we might have to write otohiko down as the mysterious anonymous canadian, but it'd be nice to give credit to the real-world identities of as many people as possible. then again, there all those identity theives, nambla freaks, and creepy stalker people out there... (when did i pass my keyboard to oprah?...) so just pass in what you want people to see.

on otokon: how does all that work anyhow? i only even started watching anime this winter, so i've no idea. is it just a bunch of comic stands and cosplayers, or is there more to it than that? i'm kinda interested, but haven't had time to do any research.

pen-pen (or anyone else interested in hosting): to get an account, toss me an e-mail with your desired user name and password and i'll set you up with a web folder and an ftp account for that folder. i'll also be putting up a new homepage that'll serve as a gateway to all of the sites i'm hosting as well as my own, but i think i'll wait on that until i have a second site to link to.
may seeds of dreams fall from my hands -
and by yours be pressed into the ground.

Thanks! ^_^\/ I'm so glad you're happy with the finished product. *Grin*

Rose4: Since I'm in the hiatus between summer camps, I might as well get some stuff done, eh? Actually I'm currently working on a vid for the AWA Expo (Pro contest requires too much work for lazy ole me :P ).

Yes, I'm aware of Chris Nguyen's org nickname, but all of the tentative tracklists that I've seen use his real name. I know that having the real name would make it stick out a little, but IMO, "aznraver1022" would stick out even more. Now what does Chris think?

Otakon: the largest anime convention in the U.S. It has just about the most competitive AMV contest too. Good luck to those of you here who have entered (like Bakadeshi with AR - pretty slick piece of work eh? :D ).

Bryal hasn't posted in several months so I'm assuming he's not in.
anubis and maverick said they're finishing up their videos. Songbird has hers finished.
Songbird21 wrote:I don't think I can do the second one I talked about.
Hoe-down is off the tracklist, but i would like to see it when you get to finish it.
Jasper-Isis wrote:Are we still turning in still images for the commentary parts?
i'm for it. i just want to see how rose4emily has the backdrops set up.

the previous standing suggestion was to use real names on all the bumpers and dvd covers, and use both real and org names in the end credits so viewers know who's who. there were a few people reluctant to the idea, but they were all willing to give out their names i think. if we do this, once bakadeshi puts up the new covers, you'll need to get the real names from the covers and rename the bumpers.

 i think bakadeshi has our mysterious canadian's name.
and i'll try to get my huffyuv on the server either thursday or this weekend.

Not to worry, I have our mystrious canadian's real name. though Mysterious Canadian does have a nice ring to it

Jasper: er... Not sure what you mean with the bumpers for the DVD. I was just going to have Rose4emily send me the narative segments in huffy when he finished them, complete with your bumpers in them already. If its going to be done the same way.

Basically I'm planning to structure the dvd in the same way a typical Anime DVD is structured with tracks and everything, with the ability to search chapters. Each video and its narative would be seperate tracks. So one can choose to skip ahead to a particular AMV on the DVD, or choose to skip all the naratives if he/she's heard them already, or whatever.

Of those covers, I don't have real names for:

Rose4emily, oshna, hmmm.... I think I have everyoone elses.
If you arn't listed here and you know you didn't give me your real name, then shoot it over to me also via PM.
