just noticed that the web link for some reason included a comma at the end, so here it is without the misdirecting punctuation:

Hah, it's not so much stylish simplicity as a total lack of web design knowledge. The only html skills that I have were acquired through a summer's work of perusing some guidebook (and that was a couple of years back), and blogging. I'll ask my studio partner if she wants to work on the website because she seems to know more about web designing than I do.

I have both my Huffyuv versions ready for upload. They're both divided into two halves for uploading convenience. Should I go for it?

Looking at the old FTP has reminded me of how much of this project I haven't seen/don't know the status of. Bryal? Anubis? Songbird? Maverick? How's it coming?

For my delay you can blame Bakadeshi. He's the one that lured me into the frustrating and time consuming world of digital effects. My peice is essentially done though, and I'm working on a shorter monolouge.

Congrats on the new server Rose4Emily. I was exploring it and everything looks good. The IP number of the ftp wouldn't give me a directory listing but I used the name and it worked.

Awesome pictures by the way. The "My other computer is a linux box" is my wallpaper right now, jay was cool too.

Any chance I could use one of the pen-pen's as my avatar? I would give you credit right below it.

alright - i just found the latest iteration of anubis' video, and put that up in the 'outbox'. i think the permissions handling is different now, where you could read it from the 'inbox' as well, but it's nice to keep everything organized.

jasper-isis: i'd love to see the huffmans. it it'd be possible for you to not split them, that might be better to prevent any small 'skip' that might form in the audio sync when i splice everything together, but if you have to do it in halves, i understand. as to the web design - simple is good: it's more reliable across platforms and browsers, is easy to navigate through, looks great, and loads faster. i sometimes have fun with the fancier css positioning stuff, but deliberately avoid plugins, extraneous images, javascript, and the like for the sake of maintaining simplicity.

pen-pen: i'm in the same boat about knowing where everyone is concerning their videos - waiting for the new stuff to be uploaded so i can see which ones are done and what the others have left to be done. digital effects = time consuming: yes, at least with the tools i've been using for mine - i repainted most of those frames one at a time to clean up the footage and work with the psuedo-greyscale thing. at least i've come to the conclusion that i'll never do another one of these without buying the dvd first, now that i have money for that sort of thing. as to the pictures, thanks - and go ahead with the pen-pen avatar (i could hardly say no anyhow, as the character belongs to gainax and not me, but i digress). i made up the 'linux box' wallpaper to put on my windows machine at work (even though i had to manually edit the registry to get it to display - stupid 'managed desktops'). jay was (and i think mentioned this under the picture) inspired by a smaller image on a page full of cartoon jays done by someone called 'bri-chan' on deviantart. i'm kind of a nut with assigning credit where credit is due, so excuse the rambling as a simple paranoid fear of accidentally plagerizing someone.

Yay!! I'm uploading my final version right now.

I don't think I can do the second one I talked about. I would need almost 2 months for what I wanna do with the Hoe-down vid. Oh well. i'll just do it for myself later. :)

All right, the huffyuv version of Surrealism is in Rose4's inbox. Forbidden Memories will follow tomorrow.

I'm still missing bumper information from Maverick and Pen-Pen. Remember that this is just so that I get your handle and amv title in the exact formatting that you want it in.

If anyone's wondering, the bumpers folder is here. I uh, took the liberty of using Chris Nguyen's real name on his bumper, if that's okay. =P

Are we still turning in still images for the commentary parts?

Pen-pen and Maverick: I decided to go ahead and make your bumpers anyway. They are located here and here. [They're BMP files, so mind the download rate.] Tell me if there's anything you want changed.

Bakadeshi: do you want me to make bumpers for the DVD with overscan borders?
