best band for making AMV's with

Post by Nikko6910 » Mon Jul 05, 2004 1:29 pm

what is in your opinion the best band for making AMV's?

I personally think that it is Linkin Park. if you search for linkin park in the super search you will find more results than any other band. Linkin Park has a variety of music, from soft to loud and heavy. this makes it ideal for most vids.

well what do you think?

I think Linkin Park is just popular among DB and Naruto fans and that's the reason why it's used that often.

The best band to make an AMV with, Is the one that covers the range of emotion, has the sound you need, tells the story you want, and is enjoyable to listen/work with. For the particular AMV you're trying to create. Period.

I agree. Linkin Park is very popular among those animes and LP is not very hard to make a music video with. One of the best bands to make a music video (in my opinion) would have to be SlipKnot. The reason for this is because they give you many noticable chances for effects that blend with there music that make an AMV popular. The hard part is to time it correctly and make sure the song fits with the anime.

The best band to make AMVs with would be a band with a huge repertoire of work, covering any possible genre of song. The only band that comes to mind is They Might Be Giants for that. Romance, comedy, pop, rock, dance, they do it all.

This is a dangerous loaded question.

Asking the "best" anything is going to get roughly a billion differrent answers. It is like asking what a group of people want on their pizza, nobody answers the same.

In theory (although not in reality), each AMV is unique. Therefore, a different band with a different 'feel' would qualify as "best."

Case in point: I could never see using Linkin Park for the Ai Yori Aoishi AMV I am working on, but perhaps they would work for the Akira one. Two different styles of anime, requiring two unique types of sound.

i would have to agree, it is very popular to Naruto and DB fans. And yes, Slipknot is incredible for most animes.

to the man/women who said that you will get varied answers:
You are far too philishopical, but correct.

i truely posted this to see what people thought, and to see which band i should use to create an AMV of my own. it is going to be a tribute to Sesshomaru (my favorite character) in Inuyasha. any help would be appreciated.

thanx for sharing your thoughts so far.

The best song to use is...

The one that allows you to make a VERY ABOVE AVERAGE amv...

Im not talking about lp or slipknot or anything really, just everything in general that can allow you to make a nice flowing amv.

Instead all i see are bands like lp and slipknot being prostitued out to db and naruto... i have yet to see a very good amv with lp and db yet, i plead to you all prove me wrong.

I want to see an amv with 10.10.10.10.10.10.10.10 not scored by friends of the creater, but scored by many many people (LIKE 20+)

I do hope you can prove me wrong, if not, then may (insert a god here) help us all.
