good point, i don't think bakadeshi left an ftp address. i'll make a note of that in the page...ooshna wrote:oh down with pants on the page you made (which is awesome) you say to upload the 740x480 versions of the video to Bakadeshi's ftp but you didn't list it
also i spellchecked your monologue, and edited parts where you used first person ("I" or "me") because rose4emily will be reciting all the monologues (I think) and it'd be odd for rose4emily to be saying "I" when its your video. this is what i came up with:
Simplicity was created solely for this collaboration. Before becoming part of the Instrumentality project, Ooshna had never created a video using music without vocals. The first challenge for him was just finding a suitable song, but after that, Simplicity seemed to just flow together. The clips used were selected to match the eerie and depressing tone of the song. Because the video would have lost much of its gloominess with too many effects, effects were limited to simple fades created with the rubberband function. Thus, the name Simplicity.
tell me if there's anything you don't like.
and rose4emily: i've summarized the important information of the entire thread on to a web page linked in the project banner in my sig, although it's still not a bad idea to go through the pages you've missed since you last posted. and i'm eagerly awaiting the new ftp.
and everyone:
i took out the paragraph in my monologue that goes through my video chronologically:
because it kinda gives away the video, and it makes the monologue too long. i think to make some of the longer monologues (like otohiko's, pen-pen's, and bakadeshi's) shorter, it'd be the best section to remove. your thoughts? The piece begins with a soft and gentle melody over a progression of unresolved chords. As the chords are elaborated, the music modulates to the minor, creating a dark and troubled mood. By the third minute, the functions of the bass and melody switch -- the bass plays the eighth notes while the melody plays the chords, suggestive of strong movement with the rapid motion in the bass. The music returns to the original theme, eventually fading to a gentle ending.
