Faithless and their "Mass Destruction" music vid got me into making poetry and engenered a will to do exhibitions, sessions, and simple public showings at certain studios for long musical poetry, which i can see within their vids.
I did this one session at my UAA college, and damn it was powerful, everyone loved it man, and it was off of a videogame...Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at that!
this is the poem, but damn if you got a deep dark voice like the main singer from Faithless and have drama in it...its pretty damn cool, even for a video game poem.
Link’s final battle with Ganondorf
By Mikael Juha Alatervo
My whole body moved in liquid motion
My arm arose like a growing wave
My wrist curved as the crest
The Master sword crashed as the might of it all…
Red crimson spewed from Ganondorf
His muscles ached in black agony
His rage fired in fanning flame!
Drawing an arrow from my quiver
I drew it back with every nerve
Then releasing it with grace and glory!
His ribs spurted in red agony
And his armor stained with his blood
He bellowed a cry and forged an attack
A cosmic horror it was!
As the bulky fist landed
I took a hit and coughed blood
Drawing back in recovery
I fanned my blade
Screamed in fury
And returned to fight
Drifting to the side
I careened past the clenched nerves of a fist
And hacked my way!
My arms quacked with fatigue
His flesh was tough as granite!
But my blade still sliced!
Bellowing with pain and fury
Lungs filled with scorching warm blood
Falling to his knees
My eyes shook with desperation
Down on his knees
Flowing with blood
I drew forward
Raising my blade above his neck
Ganondorf took his last breath
And with a flick of my wrist
My wave consumed his fall…
My strength is not that of the mountains, nor is as vast as the plains, nor does each wave crash upon the shore and thunder like lightning into my viens...but that which i can muster, and that which i will, i will bring myself foward into this world like no man has done before...
