The lens flare is an animation generated by Ulead's PhotoImpact. The original was a smooth rotating flare, but I cut it to two frames just to keep the file size down for the dial-ups.

(The name is just a contraction of the studio name I use, Tarantella.)

Anyhow, I'll explain for those who do not know: Lloyd Alexander wrote a five-part series of books, the first of which was titled "The Book of Three". (I don't know if the series itself has a title a la "Lord of the Rings", hence my calling it "The Book of Three Series".) Some people may be more familiar with the second book in the series, "The Black Cauldron" (the book is better than the movie

). Anyhow... IIRC, the main character of the series was named Taran.

Holy crap. You talking about that is a blast from my past.

One of my old grade-school teachers read us The Black Cauldron, and I remember loving it.

"Chronicles of Prydain" Is the series title, though almost no one calls it that.

I thought the lens flares were supposed to look like cop lights since they are flashing back and forth and are sort of red/blue.
