Naruto repeat eps.

I noticed that the first, 3 1/2 eps of the second season are repeats, and that almost every show starts out by repeating about 5 min of the previous ep On top of that, I recall a couple of *blatant* reprises and tons of flashbacks from the first season. On top of that the battles are starting to take (ahem) several episodes.

Tell me, does it get any better as it goes on? There are several threads talking about ep 220, so how does the show handle the padding for the higher numbered stuff?

There is no ep 220, Naruto is only up to Episode 89 right now. 220 refers to the current chapter of the Naruto manga. As far as what your talking about, that is an annoying trait that went on for awhile but during the chuunin exam and after it stops. Its something that annoyed me alot but it finally stopped after awhile.

Ahh, so there is hope then.

I was worried that all the fights were going to start taking 5 episodes and that we'd get an entire episode of personal history, dating tips, cooking recipies and whatnot for every single character that comes up in a fight scene.

It's also good news that there aren't 200+ eps.

Bear in mind that the series is ongoing and there is no sign that they're stopping any time soon. Only the first ~160 of the manga chapters are animated so far as of our current 89-ep count, so there's plenty more material to cover and the manga's also still going strong.

i used to hate that... but now i understand... if they didn't make the battle sooo long with a lot of info in the middle of each one then they would have really short battles (or times the it is really good) and really long periods of time where they explain everything (or times where it is slightly boring) so they kinda spread it all out to make it interesting through the whole thing. I also like the story line a little more than anything else anyway so... yeah but this is just me...
