I recompiled xine with newer libraries and watched your vid sans errors.

The "newer libraries" meant "the latest xvid libraries". Hmmm,
I see your point though, they are dynamically linked, but I have
a fairly non-standard setup so I just recompiled xine and told
it to look for the xvid libs I had just compiled :)

Curiously, I can't get mplayer to work with it, go figure...

phade has assured us that there is PLENTY of space and bandwith, so much that this is a mute concern. its only like 40% capacity with the huge number of members and videos available for download locally now.

Also if you want to participate in the VCAs, I think they have to be listed.

ANyway, it would give your videos more exposure if you at least entered the catalog info for them so it can be searched, if not upload to the donut. (Use the direct/indirect link method for linking to the video) Which I would suggest doing.

finnally saw Tokyo god fathrs, and got to say that was one of the best animated movies I have seen yet.

Anyway back to your vid, yea I actually remembered to watch it afterwards ;p

Good job on it, I liked it, though it got a bit hectic at times.
Simple editing, yet fast paced and good scene selections and lyric sync. Good vid overall.

Thanks for the comment. Being hectic is my simple
and naive trick to make fast-paced action visually
interesting, as I can't really do any effects with the
software I'm using (long story, but there's a reason
why I like to use it). In any case, my AMV upbringing
was definately "old school", watching stuff from the
dual-VCR era, and I've decided to work within those
confines (for the most part). Not that there's anything
wrong with effects, but the few I've tried I took out later
on because no effect is much better than a cheap-looking
one. On that note, I mentioned at the beginning of this
thread that Kon's stuff is underused, but I was elated to
find a video that's now definately one of my favourites.
I'm mentioning this guy because he never announced
this vid and I hope it inspires people into working more
with Millennium Actress and the such:
