DVD Drive

I need help deciding what kind to buy, I looked online and there are many. I also noticed that there's internal and external. I don't really want internal because I don't wanna mess up my PC trying to put it in there, and I don't wanna hire someone to do it cuz that will cost a lot of money. I want external, but those are so much more expensive and I'll have enough trouble trying to afford an internal. There's also all these types and models, I have NO idea what to get!

get this. lite on is a really good company 16x is the fastes as far as dvds are consernd (im 99% sure on this). and its easy to put it in your comp. all u do is take off both sides of your case, unscrew the old drive and unplug it. then slide it out and look at the jumper setting on it. the jumper is the little plastic thingy connecting 2 pins on the back of the drive. if its master set the jumper of the new drive as master if its slave set the jumper of the new drive as slave and if its cs or cable select set the jumper of the new drive to the. the jumper 'settings' or what position makes it be master slave or cs are on the top of the drive on a sticker. then slide the new one in and screw it in. connect the cables back up and ur done. its really really simple.

yeah thats an awsome drive, which is why ive had mine for a good two years now :D . ive managed to rip vob files of dvd's at above 15x with this drive, and i could probaly go higher if i left it runing for a bit longer (the drive gradualy gets faster the longer it runs a job for). its also prety damn cheap. one thing thats kinda anoying though is the noise it makes when it opens and closes, which kinda gets to ya when ya first buy it but ya fast get used to it.

in sumary, its cheap, its fast, its reliable. get it
