Style? y don't you take a look at what style is? if everyone walked around in the same blue jeans and white t-shirts the style will get old quick.(hence boring fade videos and linkinballz) Thats why people (like the effects junkies) decide to start trying and creating new things to push a different type of style, making something either that's unique to them or this community.

AMV form? if you want to talk about it like ART then dude you have no right to talk about Effect's videos not being able to cut it. because no matter how many times someone paints there's always going to be someone who does it different and will make a name for it.
Effects videos are NOT ANIME music videos. Effects videos are just bullshit eye candy. You fail to comprehend the distinction between a video that's all about matching the defualt effects in AE to music and using effects to enhance the fusion between the ANIME and the MUSIC. Videos like Euphoria...they don't do that.
Execution... You cut.. you fade you cut you fade.... What else do you got?

"good" effects give people a means of overcompensating for the fact that they lack the ability to match the anime to the music. Any moron can slap transitions over the beats of the music, but to actually match mutliple animation points in a single clip to the beats...yeah that require effort. Now if you wanna combine the two, hey that's pretty nifty. If you want a good example watch Kevin Caldwell's "Believe". I just looked at a couple of your videos, child, you don't come anywhere even close.
and im not talking plugins. good execution is key to making a good effects video... Actually its ALL about the execution, style, and ART. of the AMV world..
