Same here. I got a playback pack from a website, which shall remain unnamed cause of BitTorrent stuff, and I am having 0 problems with it, other than the fact that my p2 333 has trouble playing Steak's FIRE! AMV letalone an OGM or an MKV. I can't wait til I get my new computer... Then I can watch anything in the goodness that is anime. This p2 333 just isn't cutting it, but it's what I have to use and I'm gonna use it.Zarxrax wrote:Strange, I never had a problem viewing matroska files, nor did it give me problems with anything else.

The video in my sig today is the first Saikano vid to be entered into the database. The guy came up with the idea when the preview for it came out and released it just after the second episode was out. He did good job leaving out the subs and despite some of the visual quality it is still one of my favorites.
I haven't heard any complaints about his source aside from quality issues.

.... see, its always the same shit. People install crazy codec packs from crazy developers, f...ing up their system almost completely. And if our pack is then not working properly, because any unknown and untested filter from the crazy codec pack interferes with a filter form us, we are the ones to blameKalium wrote:I tried to watch a Makostra vide once. Only once. I installed it, watched the fansub. No issues. Then I tried to watch something else. BAM! After installing Makostra, I counldn't watch any other format. So I uninstalled Makostra, deleted the fansub in question, and went back to enjoying some more videos.
I'm not touching a .mkv with a 10TB partition until they have a plugin that works similar to the .ogm plugin.
If you look at http://packs.matroska.org , you may get an idea how many people are using our packs. Now, if i tell you we get ONE or TWO complaints per month, from people who had problems with it, you maybe get an idea how stable our pack is. But, what can you do .......

And, I should mention, that was using the stuff from the official sites.
