And, well, 50 minutes a DVD, but that's beside the point. I just go off and... drink herbal tea in my non-virtual Groovy Zone.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

If you reeealy can;t afford the hard drive space HufYuv requires, or can;t rip the vobs to your hardrive due to space, then you shouldn;t be editing until you upgrade ;p j/k, well there is another way, though you will loose quality. You can rip clips seperately using a program like FlaskMPEG (search google, you'll find it easily) This doesn;t give as nice results as going AVIsynth way, but you can rip clips directly with the DeCSS plugin for it if you don;t have the Harddrive space. If Hufyuv is too big a codec, try Mjpeg at high quality. pretty good compression without not too much quality loss. You can find Mjpeg easily on google search aswell. If you have the DV codec, that is nice one too, though it is harder to find online if you don't already have it.
Thats the Ghetto way of doing it, without royally screwing up using Divx as the codec , Still giving descent results.
It is recomended to go the Avisynth way though, much better results.

We are not here to hold your hand. Burntoast, Willow, and bubblehead posted links to guides that give you all the help you need. Read through the guides and THEN come back to the help forums if you still have problems.Captain Dynamite wrote:Okay, I know what I'll do. I'm going to start from scratch using Premiere, and I would like one of you to be kind enough to assist me.

i know everyone has probably already answered your question, but oh well....
when i learned premiere....i found that PRESSING F1 was pretty damned handy. premiere's help file has the wonderful and amazing thing labelled SEARCH that lets you find anything you need to know. just thought i'd throw that in for the heck of it :)
have fun
