I have ffdshow. I don't have any seperate mpeg4 codecs, just huffyuv. OGMs are video files which can handle toggleable subtitles, right? I've come across them but can't play them. I don't know what a MKV file is.

I have a bad habit of using codec packs. Now that you've reminded me I need to clean out the weird stuff.CaTaClYsM wrote:How many MPEG4 codecs do you have installed? What are they? Did you use codec packs or install them indevidually? Do you know what an OGM and MKV file are? Do you have what you need installed to watch them?
This is mostly to those who do more watching than editing and compressing.
As for OGM and MKV, they are pretty awesome in many ways, I keep trying to think of a legit way of incorporating the idea of dual audio into an AMV. The only thing that I've thought of would be one of those "wow this intro sequence is exactly like that intro sequence, and being able to switch the song.

... its back now ....Zarxrax wrote:It should be noted that the official matroska site is currently down.
.. so trueWhen it gets back up, all you need is either the matroska pack off the site, or a player that supports matroaska internally, such as Media Player Classic.
