The odd framerate: I picked it by looking through the video to see what most of the videos were in, and the number I saw was 23 (with a few - inclding my own in 29.97 or something else like that). Problem is, I checked again, using MPlayer instead of the filesystem metadata and see that the videos marked as 23 were either 24 or 23.something.
In conclusion, by 23 I meant 24.
Sorry.
---
The total number of videos is in the 10-12 range depending on how many of the "in progress" videos are completed. I currently have 10 of them lined up, five to each section, but there are a few others that I will fit in when they are completed.
The working order is:
4:3:
01 DownWithPants - Tomoe in the Moonlight
02 Chris Nguyen - A Boy I Knew
03 Ooshna - Simplicity
04 Otohiko - Arararat
05 Jasper-Isis - Forbidden Memories
--- Intermission
16:9:
01 Bakadeshi - Oratorio of Ghibli, Flying
02 Pen-Pen - Memories
03 Rose4Emily - 13'37"
04 AnubisX - End of All Eva
05 Otohiko - The Wasteland
--- Credits
If your video isn't in there, it's not because I'm not including it - it's just because I haven't decided where to put it yet.
---
Ooshna - if you don't want to write your own narrative, you can just send me an outline of what you'd like to see brought up and I'll put one together that you can review and submit.

Thanks that will help so much.
Umm where is this huge file gonna be hosted? I just upgraded my site so I can be a mirror. Also I'm thinking about converting this to a dvd and giving a copy to every one who simitted a video if that is cool with people. And depending on my situation when its released I might set it up so people can send me $1.50 or so and I can burn them a copy of it in dvd format but ONLY if EVERYbody says its fine. I'm not gonna go against anyones wished on that.

funny how I had that same exact idea.... I was going to make nice little covers and everything... with menus and all, just like a profesional DVD you'd buy from the store ;p But if you want to do it...or maybe we both can work on it ^_^ooshna wrote:rose4emily wrote:Ooshna - if you don't want to write your own narrative, you can just send me an outline of what you'd like to see brought up and I'll put one together that you can review and submit.

That would mean gathering Topnotch quality videos from everyone though in mpeg2 con submission quality, and having rose4emely encode the intermission parts in mpeg2 for us (or whichever of us does it) to assemble into the final DVD to look just like the final project.
I think its a good idea. I'd even be willing to SASE copies out to other Org members when the project releases. Or do the 1.50 thing for those that don't like SASE.

Alright, great, we have a track list at last!
I think this is a good time for me to handle all those project-related things... so I'll write the introductions ASAP - and tell me what else I need to do. In ~2 weeks (maybe less) I'll be going offline indefinitely since I'll be moving to Ottawa and I'm not sure what sort of connection I'll have there (at least until I get a job...)
Is the FTP back on or should I fall back on an alternative one right now? Anyway, I'll try to see as many of the WIP files as I can before I go offline, but if early July is when the final release is due out, I hope you guys can manage without me.
Oh yea and... a somewhat problematic piece of news, although it doesn't worry me too much: I no longer have the HuffyYUV version of Wasteland. It took up over 3 gigs of precious space I needed to work with my stupid AMV a little while ago... On the bright side, if you consider the fact that I encoded the original Local version of Wasteland from a poorer-than-the-current-top-line-compressed-version XviD into a lower-bitrate XviD, I think this shouldn't be too much of a problem for the project release, quality-wise. Still, my fault - I should've considered that it would come in handy for the project. Hope that's not a big obstacle...

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

That sounds awesome.Bakadeshi [AuN Studios] wrote: funny how I had that same exact idea.... I was going to make nice little covers and everything... with menus and all, just like a profesional DVD you'd buy from the store ;p But if you want to do it...or maybe we both can work on it ^_^
I'm working on my monolouge now, and I should soon upload a high quality release canidate. This project is looking really good, thanks to all the people handling the parts between videos.
I just saw Texhnolyze and it blew me away, so I think I'll try to get an AMV made to that for the next Instrumentality.
As for me I'm in intensive "New Idea mode" and it's driving me crazy. I have Texhnolyze vol 1, Haibane Renmei (all), Jin Roh, and The Bebop movie (though I'm not making an AMV of that one, too overdone) All on my computer. I'm listening to the Time Machine soundtrack, some LOTR tracks esp. Steward of Gondor (the one with Pippin's song at the end) and the Dwarfs song (The one that starts "Far over misty mountains cold") I also have Adiemus stuck in my head but it's been done so well by Brain Carnival and my brother is thinking of doing it.
Basically I have some music I love and some anime I love and they don't fit together very well. Sorry for the rant.
